After Cultural Revolution in China it's further development was officially supported by government and is used by TCM doctors. Now days more popular two methods: glass cups and plastic cups. Glass cups are applied on the skin of the patient with creating vacuum in the cup by introducing fired cotton ball to the cup. Plastic cups are applied on the skin and mechanically, with help of hand pump vacuum is created. Cupping is completely painless, more pleasant procedure. However when strong method of cupping is chosen for some reasons (depends on the patient's condition) some ring-like or round bruises can appear which will basically disappear in 2-3 days. There is saying in China: 'Acupuncture and cupping, more than half of the ills cured'.
